Second graders in Mrs. Becker’s class at Reiche Community School participated in a Side x Side program led by teaching artists, Nance Parker and Casey Ledoux, that integrated a literacy unit on comparative Cinderella tales with paper doll making, painting, and stop motion animation. Students drew and painted background and props for their animations and then learned filming techniques to create short animated films based on the folk tales they wrote.
