Math and Literacy Taught Through Paper Sculpture During Side x Side Program at Reiche
In November, fifth graders working with Hollie McLachlan at Reiche Community School completed a Side x Side program led by teaching artist, Nance Parker. The program integrated a literacy and math unit that included Roald Dahl’s story, “The Witches,” with paper sculpture, watercolor, and collage.
