Campers at Side x Side’s Oak Street Studios week-long Mixed Media summer art camp created artwork in response to a TEMPOart installation, “Buoyancy” by MJ Arguedas, in Portland’s Old Port. Led by teachers Phyllis Sabattis and Bella Bloom, campers learned about Arguedas’ installation and spent time reflecting on the topics of maps and memory to create their own unique art pieces using interconnected threads and tissue paper inside cardboard frames.
