In early March, third graders at Ocean Avenue embarked on a Side x Side program that was integrating a science unit on extreme weather with physical theater and poetry. Led by teaching artist, Gretchen Berg, students were learning to use physical theater to tell stories about extreme weather and its effect on daily life, the human response, and how different communities and cultures view weather and its impacts on lifestyle.
