We are delighted to announce that Oak Street Studios is back, and better than ever! Now under the umbrella of Side x Side, we will be offering the same great classes and vacation week and summer camps, in the very same location, now as part of the nonprofit Side x Side.

2025–2026 After-School Art Classes
OPEN EROLLMENT + FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
We have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 12 students per class. Our after-school art classes are set up on a trimester schedule:
Fall Session: Sept 15 – Dec 19 (13 weeks)
Winter Session: Jan 5 – March 27 (11 weeks)
Winter Session: Jan 5 – March 27 (11 weeks)
Spring Session: March 30 – June 5 (9 weeks)
Classes are 1-hour and meet once a week for three trimesters. Our projects are based in art history and children’s literature. We use fine arts materials and incorporate local field trips. We also host a First Friday Art Walk opening of student work at the end of each trimester.
2026 Vacation Week Art Camps
February Vacation Week: Feb 16–20, 9am to 3pm
April Vacation Week: April 20–24, 9am to 3pm
2026 Summer Art Camps
All summer camps are one-week-long, Mon–Fri, 9am–3pm, with mixed ages 6 and up unless otherwise specified. We group students together according to age and ability and try to be sure all students have at least one peer during their camp.
PLEASE NOTE:
- We follow the Portland Public School’s snow cancellations. If Portland Public Schools close, we close.
- WE ARE A NUT FREE SPACE. Please be mindful not to send your children to class with food containing nuts. We have students who have serious nut allergies. Please check with your teacher if your child needs special food accommodations.
- Parking is on-street only. Do not park behind the building or you will be towed.
