A well deserved congratulations to Riverton fourth grade teacher, Cindy Soule, for being chosen as the 2020 Cumberland County Teacher of the Year!  Over the years we have had the pleasure of collaborating with Cindy by bringing Side x Side arts-integrated programs, including mural-making, physical theater, character portraits, and bookmaking programs, into her classroom, and through her participation in Side x Side’s Summer Arts Institute, our two-day professional development event for educators. This year, teaching artist Anne Ackerman worked with Cindy and her co-teacher, Nicole Casasa-Blouin, to help students create mixed media books as a part of a literacy and science unit on the study of phenomena in science.
