Second grade students at Ocean Avenue participated in a Side x Side program led by teaching artist, Pamela Moulton, that integrated a science unit on matter with mixed media bookmaking. During the program, students learned about solids, liquids, and gasses through collage, paper-making, gel printing, and drawing from life. Students then compiled their research and art into a portable “Museum of Matter” in the form of an interactive book.
