Fifth graders in Ms. Mayer’s class at Connors Elementary School in Lewiston recently participated in a Side x Side storytelling program led by teaching artist, Antonio Rocha, and integrated with a literacy unit on folktales. Over the course of two weeks, students worked with Rocha to learn storytelling techniques and elements to aid in the creation of an African folktale about Anansi the spider.
