There has never been a more important time to develop the competency and creativity of our students as well as their ability to think outside the box. The arts prepare students for success in work and life by developing creativity and skills in problem solving, reasoning, collaboration, communication, and leadership while building self-esteem. Side x Side programs bring enriching, creative, and dynamic arts-integrated classroom experiences to every student, including those who learn differently, ensuring meaningful access to curriculum.
We do not currently receive any federal funding. Side x Side programming is only possible with the support of people like you.
Your generous contributions will enable Side x Side to make a profound and lasting impact on our schools and communities, reach more students and teachers, and support us in meeting the needs of all students.
Donations are tax deductible. Gifts go directly to Side x Side programs.

Donor-Advised Funds: donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account that donors can use to support their giving. DAF donors can give cash, stocks, or publicly-traded assets and get an immediate tax deduction. DAF assets are invested for growth by the sponsoring organization (for example, Fidelity Charitable or Schwab Charitable) potentially making even more money available for charities. Donors can then recommend grants at any time from the DAF to any qualified 501(c)3 public charity, such as Side x Side. Contact the administrator of your donor advised fund to recommend a gift to the Side x Side.
> If you have questions about giving a gift from a DAF, please contact our Finance Manager at mary@sidexsideme.com
Stock and Mutual Fund Gifts: Giving a gift of appreciated securities can help the Side x Side continue its mission, support our programs and allow you to impact the lives of students and educators. When donating Stock to Side x Side, you may take a tax deduction for the “full fair market” value, avoiding capital gains tax, without paying more out of pocket.
> To donate stocks or shares, please reach out to our Finance Manager at mary@sidexsideme.com for more information or to receive instructions for making a stock gift.
IRA Gifts: If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA directly to Side x Side. You can help our organization and potentially receive a tax benefit. A donation transferred directly from your IRA to a qualified charity is generally not considered taxable income on your federal income tax return. As always, we recommend that you contact your plan administrator or professional advisor to determine if this type of gift is right for you.
> If you have questions about giving a gift from an IRA, please contact our Finance Manager at mary@sidexsideme.com
