Students in Ms. Hersi’s second grade ELL classroom at Connors Elementary School in Lewiston recently completed a Side x Side painting program led by teaching artist Jill Osgood and integrated with a math unit on shapes. Using the artist Paul Klee as inspiration, students learned drawing and watercolor painting techniques to illustrate cities and landscapes referencing the shapes that they learned.
