Kick off

After a fun interactive reading of “Fox In Socks” by a local storyteller, students will participate in activities and games to get them thinking about Dr. Seuss stories and characters. Students will work together in teams for interactive drawing games using large sheets of paper to get their minds and bodies moving simultaneously. Then they will use their imaginations to turn simple geometric and organic shapes into fun characters. At the end of the kick-off, students will collaborate on a giant game of Mad Libs to create their own Dr. Seuss–inspired, whimsical story.
